Working Principle
The PPRC stop valve operates via a linear screw-down motion:
- Opening Flow: Rotating the handwheel counter-clockwise turns the internal brass spindle, lifting the bottom rubber washer off the internal valve seat. This opens the channel and allows unobstructed fluid movement through the valve cavity.
- Closing & Isolation: Rotating the handwheel clockwise advances the threaded spindle downward. The rubber washer compresses tightly against the valve seat, interrupting flow completely.
- Leak Prevention: The upper stem features precision-fit O-rings beneath the chrome sleeve, preventing fluid from seeping through the top spindle threads even under elevated system pressure.
